Regimen Advice from Dr. Levine
Here is the GLO Brilliant Whitening Program developed at my practice for my patients at home.
The GLO Brilliant Whitening Program:
Day 1. Day 2. Day 3. Day 4. Day 5. - up to 10 days if you so chose.
Each day here is what you do:
- Be sure your GLO control is charged. Apply the lip care to your lips.
- Open one G-Vial. Swipe up and down or side to side, with a thin layer of whitening gel to your top and bottom teeth. Keep in mind that you will be using the entire G-Vial in this session - So think: 4 applications in a row using this one G-Vial. Each application is only 8 minutes, for a total of 32 minutes at a time, each day.
- With the control around your neck, and the mouthpiece plugged into it, you press the GLO control button, and the mouthpiece lights up and glows.
- Place the mouthpiece into your mouth, and after 8 minutes the lights go off.
- You are now ready for your second application. Expel saliva. Rinse mouthpiece. Reapply lip care. (With each 8 minute application you place a new layer of whitening gel from the single G-Vial onto your teeth.) Apply the gel.
- Press the GLO control button, place mouthpiece back into your mouth. 8 minutes later lights go off, again. You have just completed your second application. Repeat the process two more times for a total of 4 back-to-back applications. That's all there is to it!

1. Where is it best to store the GLO BrilliantTM G-Vials?
The best way to store your G-Vials is to refrigerate them as soon as you get them to extend the shelf life.
2. How white can I get my smile?
Some of it is up to you; some is up to Mother Nature. Your tooth enamel is a unique shade by birth. The GLO BrilliantTM Personal Teeth Whitening Device will get your teeth as white and bright as they can be.
3. Can I use GLOTM Whitening if I am pregnant?
Dr. Levine recommends you stay away from whitening during pregnancy, and keep your gums healthy by brushing and flossing.
3. Is the GLOTM Device water resistant?
Your mouthpiece is designed to rinse under water, but the GLOTM Control is like your cell phone and should not get wet.
4. Can a teenager use the GLO BrilliantTM Personal Teeth Whitening Device?
Yes, for teenagers, age 13 to 16, complete only two 8-minute applications per day for a maximum of five consecutive days. To keep their smile white, maintain with one 8-minute application per month. Teens 17 and older can follow adult instructions.
5. What happens if the GLOTM Mouthpiece lights don't light up?
Check to be sure your mouthpiece is securely plugged into your GLO Control and ensure that the controller is charged. The mouthpiece will light up when it is attached to the control and the GLO button on the control is pressed. Also, check to see that the controller has been adequately charged. A full 4 hours in the docking station will fully charge the GLO control.
6. Can I use other whitening gels with the GLOTM Mouthpiece and GLOTM Control?
We recommend using only our G-Vials with the GLOTM Technology. We have tested to confirm safety and efficacy of the GLO Mouthpiece in combination with the G-Vials. Other gels & products could potentially create sensitivity, discomfort, and unknown/untested results.
7. My teeth have been sensitive to other whitening products, can I use GLO TM Whitening?
Yes, GLO Science innovation has been designed to eliminate the problems of sensitivity. The whitening gel is alcohol and carbamide peroxide free, which commonly cause sensitivity and drying out of the gums. The GLO BrilliantTM Whitening Gel does not migrate onto gums and other soft tissue which commonly cause sensitivity and is thixotropic—meaning it stays put where you place it. We do not believe pain is the price to get your teeth white. That is why we invented GLOTM.
8. If I experience sensitivity, what should I do?
Check in with your dental professional for a visit to be sure your gums are healthy, and that you don't have any periodontal problems. It is unusual to get sensitivity from GLOTM Whitening and this could indicate something else is going on in your mouth.
9. Can I use the device when charging?
No—There is a safety device built in which disables the device from working while being charged.
10. What is the Hydrogen Peroxide percentage of the whitening gel?
6% Hydrogen Peroxide, which is a mild gel and very safe. Due to the GLO Technology, the other factors of light and heat in a closed system mouthpiece help excite the active oxygens to improve the whitening results—so an extreme hydrogen peroxide level is not necessary to get results.
11. Why doesn't the glo whitening gel cause sensitivity?
The GLOTM Whitening Gel stays put on teeth— this gives more effect contact time (8 minute applications/four times in a row)—so there should be no irritation to your gums or soft tissue providing your gums are in healthy shape.
12. Will the GLO BrilliantTM Personal Teeth Whitening Device work on bonded teeth, porcelain veneers and dental implants?
Yes, GLOTM Whitening will lift the stain and brighten porcelain veneers, bonded teeth, implants —any artificial tooth surface without any harm. However, true whitening occurs on the natural tooth surface and the whitening happens from the inside of the tooth and thus overall lightening.
13. If I plan to whiten for 5 days in a row, and I bought my daughter her own mouthpiece, will I need to buy an additional pack of 10 G-Vials right away?
If you plan to whiten for 5 days—she can share your pack of 10. But very soon you will want an additional pack for the both of you. You may want to get a bit whiter and continue for a few more days so plan ahead!
14. Can I reuse an opened whitening G-Vial?
Yes you can— each G-Vial contains enough whitening gel for 4 separate sessions. Once a G-Vial is opened, the whitening gel remains effective for 7 days. You simply place the cap back on to close the chamber and put back into refrigerator.
15. Is GLOTM FDA APPROVED?
The GLO BrilliantTM Personal Teeth Whitening Device is a class 1 medical device and has been registered with the FDA.
16. Is the GLOTM Mouthpiece latex free?
Yes, the Mouthpiece is latex free.
17. Will the light from the GLO BrilliantTM Mouthipiece or Control affect my skin?
There is no UV light. It is white light from LED's. There is no affect on skin, it is directed at the teeth only.
18. How does GLOTM Whitening work?
The key to whitening is frequency and contact time in order to achieve the best whitening results. From our studies, using GLOTM for 3-5 days has shown an average of 5 shade changes. If you need more time--it's worth it, you can use up to 10 days in a row for hard to whiten teeth.
19. Do I complete all 4 applications in one sitting, or can I do one in the morning and then the others later in the night?
For the most effective results, please complete your whitening sessions with consecutive applications without breaks in between.
20. My husband used GLOTM for 3 days and his teeth got much whiter, I seem to need more time—my teeth were much yellower than his to start, do results vary for each person?
Yes —everyone's teeth are unique, your teeth and your husbands are not the same. You both have your own shade of white—and what Mother Nature gave you. Take the time to treat your smile individually as the GLO experience will be different for everyone.
21. How is the GLOTM Whitening Gel formulated?
Our unique G-Vial delivery system is made of plastic and not glass or other harmful materials. It has a fresh mint flavor and is alcohol and carbamide peroxide free, which are two common causes of sensitivity. The gel is designed to stay on your teeth once applied and doesn't migrate onto the gums and soft tissue.
22. Do I bite down on the mouthpiece while it is in my mouth?
No. You just need to close your mouth. Don't clench or bite, just relax your lips and jaw. GLOTM technology will do the work. for you when you simply place the mouthpiece in your mouth.
